Vintage Interior Style

Beautifully Timeless

Vintage Interior Style

When you think of vintage interior style what immediately springs to mind. Is it images of a rather elegant  18th century chair, or perhaps a beautiful old pine chest of drawers. Either way, you`re spot on, because vintage interior style is a very broad term, therefore, it covers a multitude of possibilities.

A Brief History of Vintage Interior Style

Always popular, vintage interior style is a very enjoyable way to express your individuality and there really are no rules. Vintage interior style can be anything from 1940`s glamour, to the back to nature movement of the 1970`s. If you feel inspired, then that`s all that matters! So whether you love Boho, or prefer a more minimalist vibe, vintage can be both, whilst always being nostalgic. Ultimately, vintage interiors are about looking back at elegant times in history and using these eras to influence today`s styles.

Vintage interiors – feeling nostalgic

I`m sure you`ve experienced a feeling of nosalgia before. Whether that was a memory of happy times spent with family, or friends. Or perhaps, a holiday, or special event in your life. Nostalgia can be triggered by a range of different associations, such as a sound, scent, or even a photograph. And it`s special! What I`m trying to say is, Vintage is all this, as it has the ability to transport you back. Which is exactly why a vintage inspired interior is always unique and very personal. See a few examples of my vintage upcycled designs.

Stunning Vintage Interior Style
Whilst you can go all out with a very particular time in history, you could also take a more eclectic approach too. Mixing design elements from different times will create a sort of timeline. From the glamour of the 1940`s to the monochrome of the 1960`s, every era can create a sense of character in your home.
